Jefferson 4th-grader Ava Carpenter and 8th-grader Dominique Murray spelled her way to the top of the class during the school’s Spelling Bees held January 16 and 17, respectively.
Ava placed first in the grades 3-5 category, while Dominique rose to the top spot in the 6-8 category.
