District leaders recognized several students during the July 20 Warren City School Board of Education meeting.
Anthony Payiavlas, who is going into his senior year at Warren G. Harding High School, was recognized for his participation in the state tennis tournament this year.
Anthony, a junior in Division I, was one of two singles players from Trumbull County to join the field of 16 participating in the 101st Boys State Tennis Tournament.
The tournament was held in May at the Linder Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.
The district also congratulated PK-8 school students Emma Cowger Segura and Jeremiah Hicks, who participated and came away as winners of the drawing through TNP’s United Fresh Start Voucher Program.
