WCS kick off districtwide Reading Raider Program: Schools set to distribute thousands of books to students in March

Superintendent’s Message regarding Reading Raider Program

February 29, 2024

At the end of January we announced at our Regular Board of Education meeting that the Warren City School District reached a major milestone by no longer having any type of adverse federal designation for any building due to academic performance as required for underperforming schools as defined by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).  (Read more on the designations HERE.) In celebration of this significant achievement, the Warren City School District is announcing the Reading Raider Program for students in the month of March.

The Reading Raider Program is designed to get books in the hands of children, supporting and reinforcing the good habits and joy of reading as well as creating a home library for students attending the Warren City Schools.

The school district will provide updates on events and activities, along with pictures, as they are implemented.
