The State of Ohio requires the following vaccinations for the 2018-2019 School Year:
Students entering 7th grade will need to have one dose of Meningococcal vaccine and one dose of the Tdap Vaccine.
Students entering 12th grade will need to have one dose of the Meningococcal vaccine.
As with other school immunization requirements, students who do not provide documentation of these required immunizations are subject to exclusion from school in the fall.

On Saturday April 21st, the Warren G. Harding High School Symphonic Band traveled to North Royalton HS to participate in the OMEA State Band Adjudication. The members of the band prepared 3 pieces for the judges and had to sight-read a new piece of music.
We are extremely proud to announce that the Symphonic Band received an overall rating of Superior (I).

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Any Given Child Initiative in Warren City Schools introduces students to art experiences and art-based learning designed to help them use their creativity to discover themselves and make meaningful connections with others. Warren is the smallest of the 25 school districts selected nationwide by the Kennedy Center and the only one in Ohio. Students involved in the program share their thoughts on the integrated arts initiative in this video produced by Jim Fogarty of 2 Ticks & The Dog Productions that was shared at an April 10, 2018, news conference.
Burlington Stores Inc., through its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, is donating $10,000 to Warren City School District’s Willard PK-8 School in celebration of its new store at Howland Commons.
Representatives from Burlington Stores presented the check to Willard Principal Michelle Chiaro during an assembly on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at the school at 2020 Willard Ave. SE, Warren.
A representative from AdoptAClassroom.org contacted school administrators and helped secure the donation, which will provide instructional supplies for each teacher’s classroom.
“On behalf of the Warren City School District, I would like to thank Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org for adopting our entire school,” Chiaro said. “Our teachers at Willard PK-8 look forward to using the funds to enhance learning in our school and in their classrooms. We are thankful to Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org for their support of our students and the educational mission at Willard.”
Burlington, in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, makes a donation to a local school in each grand opening market to celebrate the new store location. The Burlington store at Howland Commons, Niles Cortland Road SE, Howland, is scheduled to open Wednesday, March 21.
The Warren G. Harding H.S. Band would like to congratulate seniors Tavish Burd and Eric Thompson who performed in the Ohio Music Education Association’s All-State groups this past weekend in Columbus!
To be selected, students must submit an audition recording in May of the preceding year. Their auditions are evaluated and ranked against musicians from the entire state regardless of school size or demographic. The top musicians earn their spots based on these auditions.
Tavish was selected as the fourth chair trombonist in the All-State Concert band, and Eric was chosen to be the guitarist for the All-State Jazz Band. Both participated in severals days of rehearsals that culminated in concerts this weekend. Each also received a medal to commemorate their performance.
On Saturday, November 18th, 19 students from all five WCS
buildings participated in the Ohio Music Educators Association
District 5 Honors Band event held at Stambaugh Auditorium.
These students were selected by their band director to
represent Warren City Schools as part of the Middle School
Honors Band and High School Honors Band. Congratulations
