The 2025-2026 Ohio School State Report Cards are in and Warren City Schools has earned an overall 3-star rating on the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce State Report Card.
By definition, a 3-star rating means the district is meeting state standards and does not require additional state support.
Three of the district’s five schools (Jefferson, McGuffey and Lincoln PK-8 Schools) all earned an overall rating of 3.5 stars. Those three buildings also earned 4 stars in both Progress and Gap Closing, demonstrating positive movement in student growth and in closing achievement gaps.
Warren G. Harding High School also showed improvement increasing their overall rating to 3 stars as the district continues to see positive results in graduation and preparing students for life after high school.
Warren Superintendent/CEO Steve Chiaro noted, “While we recognize that a 3-star rating means Warren City Schools is meeting state standards, we also know that meeting the standard is not the finish line. We are encouraged by the increase in achievement and gap-closing points and by the progress demonstrated by our buildings. Our responsibility is to continue building on that progress and ensuring that more students are making meaningful academic gains in both literacy and mathematics.
“The state report card provides the district with valuable information about both its successes and areas that require continued attention. Warren City Schools will use this information to guide instructional decisions, strengthen teaching and learning, address achievement gaps, improve attendance, and continue preparing students for success after high school” stated Regina Teutsch, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
In the Warren City School District the focus remains clear: continue moving students forward.”
The goal is not simply to earn more stars, but to ensure that students are learning, growing, and leaving our schools prepared for their next steps.
