Chief Academic Officer

Welcome to the Warren City School District. As a proud graduate of this great school
system, I am deeply honored to serve as your Chief Academic Officer. This year marks my 35th year in education — 33 of which have been dedicated to Warren. Having served as a teacher, principal across multiple grade levels, and Associate
Superintendent, I have gained a unique perspective on our students' academic needs, the importance of community partnerships, and the vital role of career exploration.

I am also excited to work in tandem with Dante Capers, Associate Superintendent of Student Services, Student Wellness, and Success. Together we look at programs and resources that will allow students to have the best school experience each day. Through our departments we are support the “whole child” — balancing academic rigor with emotional wellness in a positive school climate.

At Warren City Schools, we believe that strong schools are the foundation of a strong community. We utilize research-based instructional strategies and Ohio Learning Standards to empower our students to become independent, critical thinkers, responsible, caring and thoughtful citizens. Our W.A.R.R.E.N. acronym—Work Ethic, Accountability, Respect, Responsibility, Effective Behavior, and No Excuses—defines our expectations for staff and students alike.
