Warren City Schools realizes how important it is for students to start each day with breakfast.
Did you know that studies have shown that children who don’t have a their morning meal may be restless, sluggish, and lack focus in the classroom, hindering the ability to learn?
All students at each of WCS’ five school buildings have the opportunity to eat a free breakfast each school day. All they have to do is show up.
“This is something we have offered for a long time now,” explained Laureen Postlethwait, WCS Food Service Department. “But it doesn’t hurt to remind our students and our families that all children in our school district have access to breakfast, which is considered a vital part of a successful school day.”
