Just Say Hello

One of the activities of our “Just say Hello” week was that everyone would dress up in Browns or Steelers Gear. The big rivalry game between the Browns and Steelers was to be on that night, Thursday Sept. 22nd . The students and staff really went all out. The Browns won. Sorry Steelers fans, maybe next year!

Start With Hello Week: Monday Sept. 19th – Friday Sept. 23rd

Each year, thousands of schools and youth organizations nationwide participate in Start With Hello Week, a national call-to-action week dedicated to making new social connections and creating a sense of belonging among youth.  Start With Hello is one of Sandy Hook’s, Know the Signs programs that helps teach students to be more socially inclusive and connected to each other.

Open House at Lincoln

Lincoln will be having their annual Open House on Thursday Sept. 1st. This event gives the parents an opportunity to greet their student’s teachers. The parents can also update their Final Forms in two of the designated computer labs. Also, you can visit the various tables that will be set up in the hall. There will be pantry items and lost and found table, Reading support for literacy give away items, Akron Children’s Hospital, A table with a scavenger hunt for our students who attend to participate in and outside the Art rooms is a Photo stand to take selfies. We hope to see you there!!!

Lincoln Staff’s Panerathon Team

The Panerathon is a 10K run and a 2 mile fun run that raises funds and awareness for charitable causes. 27+ members of the Lincoln staff participated in the walk in support of the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Hospital. The event was held on Sunday August 28th at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown. They dressed up in Pink and had a great time. Awesome!

Lincoln’s 2022 Spring Choir Concert

Lincoln’s Choir Concert, directed by Mr. McCarty, was performed in the cafetorium for the students families and friends. The concert was on May 18. The 6th grade choir sounded beautiful serenading us with the following 4 songs:

The seventh/ eighth grade choir performed after the 6th grade choir. They sang four songs and sounded awesome. The performance included soloists that made the songs extra special. The following are the selections they sang:
