Outback Ray Delights Kindergarteners
Outback Ray, along with his reptile and furry friends, came to Lincoln to educate our kindergarten classes on various types of animals.
Outback Ray brought an Albino Burmese Python named “Spongebob”, an African Spurred Tortoise named “Mater” and a few more friends.
Glow Dance with Special Person
PK-2nd grade students attended a special afterschool dance with a special person. This years theme was “Let it Glow”.
Over 300 students and their special attended this event.
Students dined on cookies and juice and danced the night away in the gymnasium.
Andy Warhol Museum Visit
Selected 8th grade art students attended a Pop Art portrait silk screening workshop, at the Andy Warhol Museum, in Pittsburgh. In addition to the workshop, students went on a guided tour.
Lincoln Reading Raiders
March kicks off a month long celebration of reading. Lincoln students were treated to an assembly to explain the month long program and were greeted by book characters.
The Pokey Puppy helped show the kids all of the cool things they could earn will reading during the month of March.
Students in grades PK-2 left school with a reading backpack and log so they can start to earn prizes. Each PK-2 student that attends school in March will leave with a new book to help create an in home library and promote reading.
Students in grades 3-8 will also be receiving books throughout the month of March.
