Students and staff participated in a “Spirit Week” the first week of May. Themes included: Hawaiian shirts, Star War, Western, Color War, and Disney.

Art Show
The gym at Harding was packed full of amazing artwork pieces from students from across the district on May 5th. Top awards went to students from Lincoln. Congratulations to all students that participated and to Mrs. Babik and Mrs. Newbrough their hard work and dedication to the student’s at Lincoln.

Fractions
Student’s in Ms. Collier’s sixth grade math classes are learning all about fractions. Check out their posters explaining how to share their candy evenly amongst their friends.
Earth Day
Students in grades K-5 participated in various Earth Day activities around the school. Student’s organized a school grounds cleanup, created various posters, and learned how to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle to keep our Earth happy.
Puzzle Day
Some of our youngest students and their parents participated in puzzle day at Lincoln.
Puzzle day was an opportunity to get parents into the classrooms playing with their kids while educating them on the importance of activities, such as puzzles, have on brain development.
Puzzles are good for things like spatial awareness, memory and problem solving skills.
National Junior Honor Society
An induction ceremony was held for the newest members of National Junior Honor Society. Candles were lit after each reading about scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Congratulations to members past and present.
Outback Ray
The kindergarten classes enjoyed having Outback Ray bring some of his favorite animals to Lincoln to visit. Students were delighted to see a turtle, armadillo, python, and other animals. Thank you Ms. Gazso for bringing “Ray” and his friends to visit.
Staff vs Student Basketball
The staff and students participated in a staff vs. student basketball game as a positive behavior reward. The students were no match for the staff. There is always next year.
Spring is in the Air
Lot’s of fun was to be had the day before spring break. Kindergarten was busy guessing what was inside their eggs with clues. First grade dyed eggs and made “snack bunnies. Sixth and Eighth graders made Peep structures in STEM.
