Welcome Back!

July 25, 2023

Valued Lincoln Families,

Joining the Warren City School administrative team and the Lincoln Family has been a long journey, which I am excited to begin.  My experience as a classroom teacher, coach, athletic director and school administrator coupled with a religious background and most importantly, being a father, drives my motivation for educational excellence.  No matter what position I have held, my energy, teamwork philosophy and relationship-building abilities creates a positive environment.  I am a servant leader and value each member of our staff and student body as if they are my own family members.  Being a lifelong Trumbull County resident, past, and now current employee of the Warren City School System, I would like to thank the board of education and superintendent for giving me this opportunity to “come home” and be a part of an outstanding school system.  I give all of you my word that our staff and students will feel my passion for Lincoln and all of WCS.

The entire Lincoln educational team will set the bar high for each student and intervene if the need arises.  The 2023-24 school year will be filled with activities and academics.  We ask for all of our Raider Families for assistance with this important journey on which we will be going on this entire school year.  Communications will be one of our building goals for this school year, as we will do this via web site, social media, all-calls, newsletters, emails, along with personal contacts from the office and classrooms.  Please keep this two-way dialog the highest of priorities as all of our year depends on communications.  We need to be on the same page moving forward.

Good attendance is another goal for all of us…adults and students.  We will strive for a positive climate, which we all want to be a part of, with attendance being of upmost importance.  When students miss, their potential will not be met, let alone achieved.  When staff misses, the cohesiveness of the building is interrupted.  Therefore, we all need to make it a point to be an active participant every day we are healthy enough to do so.

I look forward to what a new school year brings.  Together, we will be prepared to work harmoniously through challenges and celebrate success as an entire Lincoln Family.  Please feel free to email or call me with any questions or concerns as the year progresses.

Educationally,

Alex G. Geordan, 3-5 Pod Principal
