Willard will be participating in Start With Hello Week this year the week of September 15-19.

“Next week Willard PK-8 will be celebrating Start With Hello Week as part of the Sandy Hook Promise.
Monday is Meet-N-Greet Monday. Wear your “Hello” name tags and introduce yourself to someone new.

Tuesday is Wear Green Tuesday. Green is the Sandy Hook Elementary color and a symbol of change. Create a chain and build connections.

Wednesday – No School – Waiver Day

Thursday is Upstander Show your appreciation to upstanders who reach out and help others.

Friday is Trusted Adult Friday. Remember to thank a trusted adult!

Daily Attendance Building Champion for August

Congratulations Willard!!! Willard PK-8 took the trophy with 94.25% attendance for August. The Making Gains in Daily Attendance was awarded to Willard PK-8 for having the greatest improvement in daily attendance rate from one month to the next. Willard had a 3.75% improvement in daily attendance rate in August from last year. The Attendance HEROs Building Champion goes to the building that had the highest percentage of students earning the HERO designation for the month (for August the Perfect Start #s were used). 67.3% of Willard students met that mark which allowed them to hold on to the award for another month.
