Monsters in the House!

The Student Recreation and Wellness Center experienced an Invasion of Monsters today, October 29, 2026. It was the BEST type of Monster Invasion! Earlier in the Month second Grade students from Lincoln PK-8 designed and wrote about monsters and sent the pictures they drew over to the Warren G. Harding High School Ceramics I Students. The WGH students then created 3-dimentional ceramic creations of the monsters. Today all of the monsters got together to meet their partners in monster creation. The second graders got to read to their high school partners what they had written and the high school students got to share their ceramic thought process with the second graders. Much to the second graders’ delight, the ceramic monsters were gifted to them by the high school students!

A Special “Thank You” to Ms. Kristin Newbrough, WGH Ceramics Teacher, and Ms. Trish Dicesare, Lincoln PK-8 guidance counselor, who collaborated to make this idea an event. Thank you to Lincoln’s second grade teachers, Ms. Massucci, Ms. Mistovich, Ms. Mullen, Ms. Pishotti, and Ms. Rupp, for guiding your students through the design and writing process to create the monsters. And thank you to our awesome second graders and their fabulous monsters!

(No monsters were mashed in the creation of this event😉)
