Here’s everything else you need to know about the Book Fair:

Spelling Bee Champion

The 93rd Annual 21WFMJ Regional Spelling Bee has wrapped up and this year an 8th grader from Warren took home the trophy.

The competition brought students from all over the Valley out to Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown to compete and test their spelling skills.

Genevieve Ramey, from Lincoln PK-8 in Warren, has been participating in the Spelling Bee for three years now but this is her first win. She told 21 News that she walked into the Bee knowing that all she could do, was her best.

“I told myself I’m just going to get as far as I’m going to get and I’m going to do my best,” Ramey said.

Now Ramey heads to the national competition in Washington D.C. The achievement makes her a little nervous, she said, but is also an opportunity that excites her.

“I’m definitely nervous but I know it’s going to come with preparation and hard work and I do that all the time,” Ramey said.

Parent Teacher Conferences

We will have this school year’s final round of Parent-Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, March 24th from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Please remember to send in only ONE FORM per family.

It is important to turn your forms in as soon as possible as the time slots fill up quickly.

Dental Van

In February, your child should have brought home a consent form from Mercy Health regarding their Mobile Dental Services “Smile Station”.

This is a mobile dental clinic equipped to provide dental care for children who do not have or have never seen a dentist. They will see any child regardless of ability to pay. They do, however, accept insurance, including Medicaid.

Please send in the consent form as soon as possible if you’d like your child to be seen.

They will be here on March 5 & 19 and then again on April 24 and May 1. Contact the school office if you’d like another form.

“The Mad Tea Party” Performance

Congratulations to the incredible cast and crew of this year’s winter play, The Mad Tea Party! Under the direction of Mrs. DiCesare, students delivered a truly entertaining and imaginative performance that showcased their hard work, creativity, and talent.

From memorable characters to lively scenes, the production was a wonderful success that brought smiles and applause from the audience. We are so proud of all the students who dedicated their time and energy to make this performance possible.

Bravo to everyone involved for an outstanding job! 🎭
