Students in first grade visited the Student Recreation and Wellness Center to learn all about counting by tens!
Earth Day
Second grade made informative posters and wrote persuasive arguments to celebrate and learn about the importance of Earth Day.
iPhone Area Projects
Sixth graders worked on iPhone area projects involving multiplying numbers with and without area models.
Students created brainstorming webs involving division and solving and acting out real-life math problems.
Students enjoyed sharing their doodle notes and writing notices and wonders about math in real life pictures.
Spring Spirit Week

Science Club
Mr. Starr and Ms. Jackson’s after-school science club were busy at work learning about chemical reactions.
Students created elephant toothpaste that demonstrated a chemical reaction, specifically the rapid decomposition of hydrogen peroxide into the water and oxygen gas, which is then trapped by soap to form a large foam.

We Can Do Hard Things
Students in third grade worked on positive affirmations to prep for the upcoming state testing.
Students were tasked with creating a tile that focused on something that they think they are good at doing.

Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic book fair will be running from March 24th through March 28th. The fair will be open during parent teacher conferences on March 25th from 4:00- 7:30 PM.
Students will purchase during their library or technology classes. Please see the schedule to confirm their shopping day.

Pi Day
Students in 6th and 7th grade from McGuffey and Lincoln celebrated Pi Day; an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π, by traveling to the Student and Recreation and Wellness Center to work on various math activities all based on π.
Destination Imagination
Lincoln’s Rising Stars Destination Imagination team competed in the regional tournament at Beechwood High School.
The second grade team; consisting of Elizabeth Capers, Chayce Bell, and Bradyn Buccella, competed in the Weather Together Challenge.
Judges were impressed with their creativity and teamwork.
