An induction ceremony was held for the newest members of National Junior Honor Society. Candles were lit after each reading about scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Congratulations to members past and present.
Outback Ray
The kindergarten classes enjoyed having Outback Ray bring some of his favorite animals to Lincoln to visit. Students were delighted to see a turtle, armadillo, python, and other animals. Thank you Ms. Gazso for bringing “Ray” and his friends to visit.
Staff vs Student Basketball
The staff and students participated in a staff vs. student basketball game as a positive behavior reward. The students were no match for the staff. There is always next year.
Spring is in the Air
Lot’s of fun was to be had the day before spring break. Kindergarten was busy guessing what was inside their eggs with clues. First grade dyed eggs and made “snack bunnies. Sixth and Eighth graders made Peep structures in STEM.
We are Warren!
The first grade students, under the direction of Mr. McCarty, are holding a pep rally using the WARREN acronym. Work Ethic Accountability Responsibility Respect Effective Behavior No Excuses.
Spring Art
Students in grades K-8 have been busy creating lots of artwork. The artwork is displayed all throughout the first floor.
Third Grade
3-5 Sneaker Ball
Students in grades 3-5 were treated to a “Sneaker Ball” for their positive behavior. Students danced, enjoyed snacks, and friends!
Kindergarten Registration
Lincoln held Kindergarten registration for the upcoming school year. We are excited to add lots of new RAIDERS to our building.
Fire Safety
Students in grades kindergarten through third learned about fire safety from the Warren Fire Department. Students learned the basics about fire safety; such as Stop, Drop, and Roll. Student’s also were able to see what a fireperson would look like in their fire gear so that in an emergency they would not be scared.
Firefighter Dave performs Fire Safety programs all over the state of Ohio. He has asked that parents follow up with his program by going to his website and clicking on “downloads” and going to Episode #3 and creating a home escape plan. https://firefighterdave.com/
Geography Bee
Twenty two students in grades 4-8 competed in the Geography Bee on March 14th in the small gym at Lincoln. They put their geographical knowledge to the test in this fun competition. Daniel Long (8th grade) was the overall winner, Micaiah Capers came in second, and Carter Verbosky came in third.
