Welcome back to school McGuffey students! We are Warren Strong and ready for a brand new school year!
On Friday, August 17, 2018 McGuffey Principals and teachers hosted the 2nd Annual Back to School Carnival. Students were able to see their teachers from last year and explore the Warren City Fire Department’s fire truck. Slide on the giant blow-up slide and receive a new book to start the school year with. What a fun afternoon enjoyed by everyone.
On May 16, 2018, the 8th graders of McGuffey traveled to battlefields of Gettysburg in Pennsylvania and then on to our Nations capitol in Washington, DC. They had a great time exploring the sights, even though it rained all three days.
On April 26, 2018, six of our seventh graders were inducted into our National Junior Honor Society.
Congratulations to all of them and their families.
Join us for a celebration of art in Warren! Celebrate the creativity and talent of our students with outstanding artwork from Jefferson PK-8, Lincoln PK-8, Willard PK-8, McGuffey PK-8, and Warren G. Harding High School.
McGuffey welcomed Warren’s own musical talent, Dennis Drummond! Dennis spoke to the students about his time growing up in Warren, his passion for music and being on the voice. The students enjoyed their time with him. We are so proud of Dennis!

A huge thank you goes out to Victory Christian Church for the wonderful classroom library they donated. Mrs. Hitchings and Mrs. Marciano and their students are so grateful and excited for the new books and equipment for their classroom. The students can’t wait to get busy reading!
