6th Grade Water Safety Review, 2/20-2/24
November 29, 2022
Hello 6th-grade students and parents/guardians:
My name is Mike Davidson and I am the Warren City School District Supervisor of Aquatics.
The district is implementing a new initiative for 6th graders that will help us continue building
upon the current 4th/5th grade learn-to-swim program while also enabling us to continue
helping the students in WCSD enhance their water safety development!
We have set aside one-week dates that will allow each 6th-grade class in the school district to
come to the pool and participate in a refresher course of their previous 4th-or 5th-grade
learn-to-swim experience. We will review water safety, refresh student skills, and revisit
freestyle and backstroke.
Our goal is to develop water safety as a top priority and then to encourage any of our students
who have an interest in developing their swimming capabilities to swim on the Warren Middle
School Swim Team for 7th and 8th graders.
We are very excited to launch this new program and continue Water Safety Education for
Warren City School Students!
Thank you,
Mike Davidson
