Twenty one McGuffey students participated in the preliminary test for the National Geographic Bee. This is a national competition to inspire students to learn more about the world. Ten finalists were selected based upon test scores. They competed in the McGuffey National Geographic Bee on January 10th. The winner, Jayden Colbert was determined after several back and forth rounds with runner up Connor Roberts. Jayden will now take the state computer test to determine if he is one of the top one hundred to qualify for the state bee.

December 20th is early release for McGuffey students. Released at 1:15. December 20 is also the last day before winter break. We will return to school on January 6, 2020.
