Representatives and volunteers from the United Way treated second grade classes to a special classroom reading program called ‘Read 4 Fun’. Students were read a book and completed an activity. Students were also given a special gift of a drawstring backpack filled with two books and information on our local libraries. Thank you to the United Way for providing this program to our students!

On Friday, October 27, Kindergarten students at Jefferson carved pumpkins with the help of family members and volunteers. The pumpkins were provided through a generous donation from Believers Church here in Warren. Thank you to our special guests that included Mayor Franklin, school board member Regina Patterson, as well as several volunteers from Believers Church. This is an annual event held here at the school for our Kindergarten.

On Tuesday, October 3rd, family members of our Jefferson 3rd graders were invited to the school for a family day. Families learned about the importance of reading for their student and were able to participate in a fun story activity with their child. Thank you to all the families that attended.
