Chris Allen, HR Manager from Ultium Cells in Lordstown, spent some time recently with Warren G. Harding seniors who have indicated an interest in entering the workforce or in pursuing a skilled trade upon graduation.
Ultium Cells is a newly built battery production facility that is looking for potential employees. Mr. Allen discussed the hiring process, outlined the various careers available at the facility and the benefits available to employees, including tuition reimbursement and on-the-job training.
Mr. Allen also discussed key responsibilities of some of the positions that included skills such as:
Seniors demonstrated interest in the opportunity and had the chance to learn more during a question & answer session after the presentation.
Coach Charles Penny and three WGH indoor track athletes traveled to SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio on March 4th, 2022 to compete against other top athletes from across the state. Seniors Na’Veyah Parisi and Michael Jones, and Freshman Savana Shipman represented Warren G. Harding High School in two different events.
The three WGH students qualified in Triple Jump and Parisi also qualified in Long Jump. Parisi and Jones earned 1st team ALL-STATE honors. Parisi placed 6th in the Triple Jump and Jones Placed 4th.

If you’re driving down East Market Street, Past Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Look Up! Warren G. Harding Art Students, under the direction of Art Teacher Suzanne Melia, painted the walk bridge attached to the hospital for all to see and enjoy!
The WGH boys freshman, JV, and varsity basketball games at Mentor this evening (December 21, 2021) have been canceled. The games will be rescheduled at a later date.
