Volley for a Cure!

 

This Saturday at 10:00 AM the Lady Raiders Volleyball team will take on the LaBrae Vikings here at W.G.H. in the main gym.  During the game the players from both teams will be sporting pink to increase the awareness of breast cancer.

Please come and join us for the fun and help to support Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation! Wear PINK! There will be activities such as, a Bake Sale, Basket Raffles and a Serving Game! All proceeds go to the foundation for cancer research!

The coaches from both high schools would like to thank you for your support of the players and such a wonderful foundation! Hope to see you there!!! REMEMBER TO WEAR  YOUR PINK!!!!

 

Renaissance Application!

If you have earned a 3.2 or higher G.P.A. during the last nine-weeks of last year you can apply to participate in the Renaissance Program!  The Renaissance program provides discounts to area businesses and the Spirit shop, Independent Study days, and with gold card you earn free entry into all varsity games.  Be recognized for your hard work!  Click on the link below and apply for your Renaissance card today.

Transition To Work Program

Some of our Warren G. Harding students in our Transition to Work Program began working this week at Goodwill in Warren.   They are gaining valuable work skills in a real world environment to better prepare them for life after high school. We are excited to start this new chapter of community engagement with our students and staff! We look forward to this new partnership with Goodwill and to adding more work sites in the future!

English Festival 2019

The 2019 YSU English Festival hosted approximately 1,000 students from across NE Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. Students from WGH enjoyed a day of literary discussions, activities, and competitions focused around the 7 books that they have read throughout this school year.  The Guest lectures were Steve Sheinkin and Neal Shusterman.  WGH students brought home three prizes including books, t-shirts, pins and water bottles.  Also, may of our students got autographs from the visiting authors!

WGH Class of 2023. You and your parents are invited to learn about the academic, athletic, and extra-curricular activities that you can participate in next school year at Warren G. Harding High School. Meet you counselor and view course selections. Oh, and don’t forget about asking questions. Dinner is included. We hope to see you there.

Congratulations and Good Luck E.L.I.T.E. 48!

Robot and Robotics Team 2019

Congratulation to the Warren G. Harding robotics FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) team E.L.I.T.E. (Encouraging Learning in Technology and Engineering) 48 on their two Regional 1st place wins!  Their first regional title was won in Chicago at the FIRST Midwest Regional competition and their second regional title was won in Pittsburgh at the FIRST Greater Pittsburgh Regional  Competition.  Team 48 is currently ranked 5th in the world and this weekend the team is traveling to Cleveland to compete in the Buckeye Regional.  Go E.L.I.T.E. 48!  Go Raiders!
