That time has come around once again, we’re in the second half of our school year. While it may be hard to focus during this final stretch, it is important to remain engaged in class. There are many techniques to stay focused and engaged in class. First, make sure you eliminate distractions by putting all technology away. Second, be sure to participate and ask questions when you don’t understand the lesson. Finally, be open and honest with your teacher. If you’re having a bad day or need help, reaching out to your teacher can be a big help. By participating in class and completing work you open up more opportunities for yourself. Good grades and good communication with teachers and others is key to developing habits that will help you later in life. Staying on top of school work and putting in the effort helps make the transition into adulthood easier, and can even open up occupational opportunities into the future. Wishing you lots of luck this semester.
