McGuffey PK-8 would like to remind students and families that there will be no school on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, marking the end of the first nine-week grading period

Our first-grade students at McGuffey PK-8 enjoyed an exciting visit to the Wellness Center on Wednesday, October 14, 2026!

We are excited to celebrate Red Ribbon Week, October 26-30, 2026 at McGuffey PK-8 School!

Red Ribbon Week encourages students to make healthy choices, live drug-free lives, and demonstrate respect, responsibility, and kindness.

This year’s theme is ”Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free!”

Students will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities and contests throughout the week!

McGuffey PK-8 students will have their school pictures taken on Wednesday, October 21. We look forward to seeing everyone ready for Picture Day!

Friday, October 9, 2026 – No School

McGuffey PK-8 will be closed on Friday, October 9, 2026, for NEOEA Day. We look forward to welcoming students back following the scheduled day off.

McGuffey Elementary is excited to welcome families to our Open House on August 27th! Join us for an opportunity to tour the school, meet teachers, and get ready for a fantastic school year ahead. To help ensure a great experience for everyone, attendance is staggered by grade level: Grades 1–2 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Grades 3–5 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, and Grades 6–8 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you there

First day of school is Monday, August 24th. The school doors will open at 8:15am and the tardy bell will ring at 8:25am.

McGuffey Middle School students proudly brought home the silver medal from the inaugural Warren City Schools Middle School Olympics competition held at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

Congratulations to Coach Scott, Coach Trill, and all of the students for their hard work, participation, and outstanding achievement in earning medals at the competition.

Our McGuffey 8th graders are ready to begin the next chapter of their journey at Warren G. Harding High School! To celebrate this exciting milestone, students enjoyed a special breakfast this week where they had the opportunity to spend time with friends and teachers while reflecting on the many memories, accomplishments, and successes they have shared at McGuffey Schools.

The following 8th grade students have proudly attended McGuffey School from kindergarten through 8th grade: Tyler Johnson, LeAnna Whisonant, Faith Pressell, Olivia Lewis, Savanna Cassidy, Ty’Ree Brown, Cameron Colbert, Bradyn Powell, Kason Liebal, Ma’Luan Huson, Lorenzo Johnson, and Deon Stubbs.
