Due to a generous donation of bikes from Believer’s Church, many of our Jefferson Kindergarten students recently went home with a brand new bike. Students qualified for a bike by having great attendance for the school year. Congratulations to all the students who won a bike!

Big Brothers and Sisters Program
Throughout the year, Harding students have traveled to Jefferson to mentor 3rd grade students. Recently, they had a picnic to celebrate the end of the year. The picnic included games, activities, food, and music. We would like to thank the Harding students for their kindness and dedication to this program.
K-2 Poetry and Punch
On Friday, May 11th families at Jefferson were invited to attend a poetry and punch event here at the school. Students in grades K-2 recited original poetry for the class and guests and also participated in activities. Families learned about the different types of poetry the students had focused on. Thank you to all the families that attended.
Koins 4 Kids
Recently students at Jefferson were rewarded for their fundraising efforts in raising money for Akron Children’s Hospital’s ‘Koins 4 Kids’. Jefferson raised the most money of any of the schools participating so they were treated to Handel’s ice cream as well as a dance with a DJ. Congratulations to all the students and staff for helping with such a great cause!
Warren City Schools’ District Wide Art Show
Join us for a celebration of art in Warren! Celebrate the creativity and talent of our students with outstanding artwork from Jefferson PK-8, Lincoln PK-8, Willard PK-8, McGuffey PK-8, and Warren G. Harding High School.

Green Eggs and Ham
As part of Right to Read Week, students in grades PK-2 participated in a variety of reading activities based on Dr. Seuss books. One of the main events was reading the book Green Eggs and Ham and then enjoying a breakfast prepared by our wonderful reading staff.

Harding graduate and recent contestant on NBC’s The Voice gave a concert to students in grades 5-8. He performed songs and also spoke to the students about his life in Warren and how it helped lead to his success. Thank you Dennis for a great concert!
Winter Concert
Jefferson band and choir students performed in their annual winter concert on Tuesday, December 19th. The band is conducted by Ms. Turner and the choir is conducted by Ms. Komsa. Thank you to all the families that came out to support our wonderful music program.
Preschool Magic Show
Preschool students at Jefferson were treated to a holiday themed magic show. After the show they got a special visit from Santa!
New Tomorrow’s Performance
Students at Jefferson were recently treated to a concert from the New Tomorrow’s. The New Tomorrow’s performed songs of the season as well as popular favorites. Thank you to Mr. Rising and Mrs. Dolan-Meese at Harding for organizing this performance for our students.
