Book Fair Nov. 15-19

The book fair will be open for shopping Nov. 15-19. Please put your child’s money in an envelope or baggie with their name on it to make shopping easier. We are also open during parent teacher conferences- stop in the library after your in-person conference to shop!

You can also take advantage of our e-wallet option (this allows you to load money electronically so your child does not need to bring cash to school). Sign up through our school’s scholastic website (link below).

Jefferson Hosts Trunk or Treat for Community

Jefferson, along with help from Second Baptist Church held a trunk or treat event at the school. Teachers and members of the church decorated their cars, passed out small pumpkins, gave out popcorn and passed out candy. It is estimated that over 1,500 members of the community came out to the event. Thank you to Pastor Todd and the members of Second Baptist Church for helping to make this such a wonderful success for our Jefferson students and families.

United Way Reads to Students

Second grade classes here at Jefferson were recently visited by members of the United Way. Volunteers read a book to each of our second grade classes, completed an activity and then each student was given a copy of the book ‘Scaredy Squirrel’. Kindergarten Makes Apple Pie

Students in Kindergarten finished up their unit learning about apples by making their own apple pie cups. Students learned about the life cycle of apples and the ingredients needed for their recipe. Students followed directions, added ingredients and then were able to enjoy their treat.
