Apple Pie in a Cup

First graders celebrated the end of their unit on apples by enjoying a delicious treat. Over the past week students have had apple themed lessons in science, language arts, as well as math.

Mini Majorettes

Jefferson students participated in Warren G. Harding’s Band Night on September 17. The students worked with high school majorettes and flag line members to learn routines that were performed during the pregame portion of the band night. There was a huge audience to cheer them on and they had a wonderful time. Great job to all of the Jefferson students that took part in this wonderful program!

Fun Discovery During Recess

Students in Mrs. Lines’ first grade class made a fun discovery during their recess time. Students noticed a grasshopper on the playground and gathered to see it. Once recess was over they placed it safely in the grass and went back to their classroom. A discussion about grasshoppers led to students researching information. Their favorite fact is that a grasshopper is that it can jump between ten to twenty times its body length! Great job first graders!

Book Vending Machine

Recently, our first group of students from Jefferson were rewarded with tokens to get a book from our new vending machine. Students can earn tokens for the machine by doing a great job on work, being kind, following the WARREN acronym, and many other ways. Congratulations to our students that already earned tokens!

Welcome Back

Thank you to all the Warren community members that came out to greet our Jefferson students on their first day back. This was an amazing way to start the year!

Eighth Graders Work with First Graders on Poetry Project

Some of our eighth grade students got to sit down and work with first grade students on a poetry lesson. Our eighth grade students did a wonderful job talking to the students and helping them with their assignment.

6th Grade Science Fair

Sixth grade students at Jefferson participated in a science fair recently. Students completed research on their chosen topic and then created a board to show their data. Families and other classes were able to come and listen to the students explain their projects and the show their data. Thank you to all the families that came out to support their student.
