Preschoolers at Jefferson recently enjoyed a holiday themed magic show, which ended with a visit from Santa! Several students were able to help our magician with his tricks and afterwards the students got to tell Santa what they want for Christmas.
Jefferson continued its yearly tradition of providing a Thanksgiving meal to its staff and students. Students and staff were able to enjoy a full Thanksgiving lunch prepared by our amazing cafeteria staff led by Ms. Vonny. A special thank you to all the volunteers from our board office as well as community members that helped make this event a success.
Jefferson students in grades two and three honored veterans with a music program on November 10. They performed a number of songs and several students recited poems. Students were led by Mrs. Ritcher and Mr. Fitch. Thank you to everyone that came to celebrate and honor our veterans.
There will be NO SCHOOL for Warren City School Students Wednesday, November 22- Friday, November 24. Students will return Monday, November 27. The Jefferson staff wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday.
Students from Jefferson competed against students from various other Trumbull County schools in the Challenge 24 math competition at Harding recently. A special congratulations to Mya for making it to the top 16 and receiving a medal for her efforts.
Middle school Jefferson students recently participated in a Mega Math Day at YSU. Students got to participate in various math activities and meet students from numerous other schools.
Jefferson hosted its annual Trunk or Treat event recently for our students and community in collaboration with Second Baptist Church led by Pastor Todd. Families from the community enjoyed time to trick or treat, visit with the Harding Robotics Team, as well as see our transportation department. Thank you to everyone from Second Baptist and our community that helped make this another great year for this event. Also, a special thank you to Mrs. Vlahos-Hall who led organizing the event.
Jefferson continued its yearly tradition of having guests visit the school and carve pumpkins with our kindergarten students. We also had some older siblings, student council, as well as staff members help. Students were able to take their pumpkins home at the end of the day.
Jefferson preschool students got a special visit from Warren Fire Department members. Students learned about fire safety, got to see a fireman in his full safety gear, and also got to see a fire truck up close.
