Welcome Back

Students at Jefferson were greeted their first day back for the 2019-2020 school year by men in the community with high-fives, smiles and words of encouragement. This event has been organized as a district wide event each year. Thank you to all the supporters that came out to make the first day back special for the students!

Carnival

Students and families from Jefferson were treated to a back to school carnival a couple days before school started. Families enjoyed dinner, snow cones, popcorn, face painting, dancing, as well as outdoor activities such as a bounce house obstacle course and basketball. Thank you to all the students and families that came out to celebrate the beginning of another great year at the ‘J’!

National Junior Honors Society

We would like to congratulate our new members toĀ  Jefferson’s Chapter of the National Junior Honors Society. Students are selected based on their academic excellence, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Membership in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a middle school student. Membership, however, is more than an honor. It is an ongoing responsibility and an obligation to continue to demonstrate those outstanding qualities and we are looking forward to the great things this Chapter will accomplish in the future.
