UNCF Fidelity Scholars Program – this scholarship program targets the “mighty middle” GPA 2.5-3.59? Check this scholarship out.
- Comprehensive support system designed to empower students to achieve their full potential.
- Unweighted GPA of 2.5-3.59 to qualify.
- Must plan on attending college in Ohio.
- Maximum award – $10,000 – renewable for four years.
- Participation in community service, leadership, or work required.
- Essay topic: Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a deeper understanding of yourself or others.
- Transcript and Letter of Recommendation required.
- Creation of a digital vision board required – your dreams, your story, show your vision and the path you’re ready to take.

Crystal Lake Scholarship
Going to a trade school or technical school?
Check out the Crystal Lake Scholarship. The Crystal Lake Foundation was created by the Mahoning Sportsman’s Association.
•Must be enrolled at a Technical School, Trade School, or eligible four-year college or university to receive scholarship funds in Fall of 2026.
•Essay of 300-500 words answering four provided questions is required. Two questions asking what have you contributed to your community and what have you contributed to the natural world?
• Recipients will be notified July 1, 2026
• Entire submission must be submitted in single pdf file

VFW National Scholarship 3D Patriotic Art
First place – $2,500, Second place – $1,500, Third place – $1,000 Fourth place $500
- Entry must be 3D on paper, pottery, sculpture, wood, metalwork, etc.
- Entry must be completed during the current school year.
- May not weigh more than 5 pounds or be larger than 18″ in any direction.
- Stone, clay, metal, wood, fabric, papier mache, potter, mixed and other media may be used.
- Typed explanation (250 words or less) of the steps taken to create the entry and an artist statement required
- Deadline is March 24, 2026

Westside Maple Leaf Club Athletic Scholarship is now open.
- Available to any youth athlete from Trumbull County pursuing higher education after high school (college, trade school, business school)
- 500 word maximum essay explaining why you feel that you are deserving of receiving this scholarship (include in the essay your sport accomplishments/participation and how your sport has influenced your life and goals for the future)
- Include your activities and involvement with other clubs, leadership roles and community service

The Ohio General Federation of Women
The Ohio General Federation of Women’s Club is awarding five $1,000-$2,000 scholarships statewide.
- ONLY FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING AN OHIO COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better, Art Scholarship applicants must have 2.6 or better.
- Teaching or Library majors
- Communication majors
- Allied Health majors (doctor, nurse, pharmacist, veterinarian, X-ray technician, lab technician)
- Art majors (see qualifying factors for artwork on the attached information page)
- Must submit an essay answering the question, Why are you choosing this line of study and what have you been doing to learn more about it?

- Seniors who are active volunteers are encouraged to apply.

- Essay of less than 500 words on why volunteerism is important to you as well as two other prompts.
- Presentation, spelling, grammar and punctuation are important.
- A person who is familiar with your volunteer service is also required to write a letter answering three prompts about you.

For the official records, credits earned determine grade level placement. Grade level placement will be determined in the following manner:
- Freshman 4.75 credits and below
- Sophomore 5 – 10 credits
- Junior 10.25 – 16.75 credits
- Senior 17 or more credits

Graduation Requirements include the specific Credit Hours described below PLUS an assessment as also described below:
21 Total Credits:
- Four (4) credits in English
- One half (.5) credit of Health
- Four (4) credits in Math – must include 1 unit of algebra II or the equivalent of algebra II.
- One half (.5) credit of Physical Education – ½ unit requires (2) PE classes.
- Three (3) credits in Science (Physical, Biology) – Science units must include 1 unit of physical sciences, 1 unit of life sciences, and 1 unit advanced study in one or more of the following sciences: chemistry, physics, or other physical science; advanced biology or other life science; astronomy, physical geology, or other earth or space science.
- Three (3) credits in Social Studies (World Studies, U.S. History, Government) – Social Studies units must include 1 unit of American History and 1 unit of American Government.
- One half (.5) credit of Financial Literacy (embedded in American Government course)
