Despite closing classrooms due to the COVID-19 pandemic, families are still finding ways to feel artistically inspired from the comfort of their homes.\u00a0 Last month, Lincoln Art teacher, Ms. Babik sent out a\u00a0\u201cchallenge\u201d to families who were self-isolating at home to recreate their favorite pieces of artwork using everyday household items.<\/p>\n

Lincoln families proved more than willing to accept the challenge and responded to the call with personalized remakes of\u00a0 famous Art pieces by the likes of Edvard Munch, Rembrandt van Rijn, Leonardo DaVinci and more. The stay-at-home artists pulled from their stashes of household supplies, enlisted the help of\u00a0their\u00a0pets,\u00a0stuffed animals and children\u2019s\u00a0toys\u00a0\u00a0to remake the perfect portrayal of a famous work of Art of their choice.<\/p>\n

And\u2026 although school is out for the summer\u2026 We challenge YOU
\nto take a break from the everyday and get inspired!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We will continue this challenge through summer and into the fall, so there is still time to participate!!\u00a0 Search for Famous Art, re-create the Artwork from supplies found around the house, and submit BOTH photos to Ms. Babik at \u00a0judy.babik@neomin.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n
